Against the background of the so-called “rule of law crisis, the speakers will reflect on the current role of public prosecutors and public prosecution Europe, having regard both to specific national experiences and to the impact of EU and ECHR law.

The conference is co-organised by the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Florence, MEDEL (Magistrats européens pour la démocratie et les libertés) and the online review Questione Giustizia, with the support of the project TRIIAL – TRust, Independence, Impartiality and Accountability of judges and arbitrators safeguarding the rule of Law under the EU Charter.

TRIIAL project is a DG Justice supported project that provides training activities and tools for judges, lawyers, arbitrators and other legal professionals in areas of salient importance for the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
